Welcome, ya’ll! I’m Jenny. I’m from Georgia, but I’ve called the Gem State home for nearly twenty years now. I live in beautiful Boise with my Idaho boy, Ben, and our five tots, who we homeschool.
I started this blog when we were first married and named it “Peaches and Potatoes,” after our home states’ famous farm-grown foods. To me, it represents not only our love for home and simple goodness, but a quirky combination of contrasting flavors—sweet peaches and savory potatoes—much like our life together.
Now, it’s become more than a place to share our milestones and mishaps. Here I write about natural health, home and real food. My hope is to help you and the people you love feel your best!
That hope comes from my own healing. For years, I struggled with infertility and recurrent miscarriages. Getting healthier was a big part of getting pregnant (and staying pregnant) for me. But after I became a mom, I faced other health problems, including frequent kidney stones, skin infections (as in boils—so embarrassing!), rashes, cystic acne and severe food and chemical sensitivities. Some mornings I woke up feeling too sick to even get out of bed.
Finally, I realized that good days started with taking good care of myself. But instead of working out every day and following a strict diet, which I’d already tried, I started doing things I love, like eating a big breakfast every morning, going for walks in the woods by the river, and relaxing with a good book and steaming cup of chamomile tea.
I also started eating plenty of real, nourishing food, taking a few natural supplements, simplifying our belongings and removing harmful toxins from our home.
Since then, I’ve learned even more ways to live and feel better naturally, and that’s what I want to share with you here! I hope you’ll follow along and keep in touch. You can join my mailing list below for the latest from my blog, or reach out to me anytime at jenny@peachesandpotatoes.com.

Here’s to more good days,
